Fall Morning and Max Helping Me

It's a crisp fall morning and I have Max following me around taking
pictures of the last few remaining flowers...except my mums, which

are just starting to open up.

Boots the trouble maker

I have spent a lost weekend renovating my bathroom.
I had decided to paint the walls the color of Boots my cat.
She is buff and tan and just a yummy creamy color with
 gorgeous ice-blue teal eyes.

I took a bad turn when I decided to buy my paint at a local hardware store rather than Home Depot.  My paint has a hush hint of purple mixed in it and after 3 coats I gave up and gave in & let it be what it was.  I added accents of turquoise and chocolate browns and wrapped it up. It feels clean. Not quite at home with it yet.

Day 2 and 8 lovely comments.

Thank you all for your lovely comments and coming my way.  I look at Marilyn's site and am so overwhelmed by what she does each day.  Some day I will get there, just need to brush these corn tassels out of my hair and find my way.  It has taken me months to get up the nerve to do this and now I see why.  To expose one's self I feel there must be some substance worth sharing and I am not used to doing that.

Today I spent a large part of my day going over old pictures and their dates, places & people's names. Mom left us kids a couple of large boxes of photos, most unlabeled, when she passed away.   I discovered two people in my family that had ALS (Lou Gerhig's Disease), that twins run pretty rampant, that brothers and sisters sometimes do not look like they belong in the same family, and there are several thousand Thomas Jackson's when I scan the old census records.

The temp seems to be dropping rather rapidly here now.  We had a summer from hell with heat hotter than Texas for days on end, rain that turned everything into mildew and flooding from the Missouri River that almost managed to reach my backyard.  Am almost afraid to see what fall and winter have in store for this part of the country.  I have a roof and siding that were hit and ruined by baseball size hail.  Waiting on the contractor to get to me and several thousand others.

My First Ramble

I have been at this several - make that countless hours and with the help of my patient friend, have arrived at my first blog post.  I am so excited.  No what.  Time will tell.  Baby steps.
